OneDrive is one person’s files. SharePoint is the business’s files. Anything you would be upset to lose when a staff member leaves belongs in SharePoint, and getting this split right is most of the value of the setup.
Yes, that is a separate service page and it is usually worth doing at the same time, since the two only really make sense together.
Not with Files On-Demand configured, which is the default we set. Files show in Explorer but only download when opened, and you can mark the ones you need on site as always available.
No. Use Google Drive instead — it is the same job done by the tool that matches your email. Switching platforms for storage alone is never worth the disruption.
