What customers actually search for

  • payment gateway for tradies
  • take card payments small business Australia
  • Stripe setup for tradesmen
  • online invoice payments
  • take a deposit online

Australian small businesses routinely wait a month or more to be paid. The single biggest lever on that number is removing every step between "here is the invoice" and "here is the money" — which is exactly what a gateway inside your CRM does.

The problem

Why you are waiting to get paid

Bank transfer friction

They have to find the invoice, open the banking app and key in the BSB. Half of them do it next week.

No deposit, no commitment

Jobs booked with nothing down are the jobs that get cancelled the morning of.

Manual reconciliation

Matching bank deposits to invoices by hand every Sunday night.

Cash and cheque only

Losing bigger jobs because the customer wanted to put it on a card.

FAQ

Payment Gateway Setup — common questions

No, never. The account is yours and the money goes directly to your bank. You pay the provider's standard merchant fees; we charge nothing on top.

Surcharging is legal in Australia provided it does not exceed your actual cost of acceptance and is disclosed before payment. We can configure it — check the current RBA and ACCC guidance for your situation.

It depends on the provider — typically next business day with Square and around two business days with Stripe. Payout timing is set by them, not by us.

Card details never touch your website or our systems — they go straight to the gateway, which handles PCI compliance. That is precisely why we use one.

Yes. A deposit at booking and the balance on completion is the most common setup, and it is the one we recommend.

Payment gateway setup is included from the Growth plan ($250 setup, $79/month), alongside CRM and online booking.
