Personal account, business data
Signed in with a personal email means the business files are legally and practically tied to an individual.
Computer setup
A new laptop out of the box is a pile of trial software and default settings. This is getting it to the point where your email, your files and your backups all just work.
Included from the Starter plan
Melbourne-based, on the ground across the south-east and northern suburbs, with support in Canberra and remote setup Australia-wide.
What customers actually search for
Most tradies buy a laptop, sign into a personal Gmail on it, save everything to the desktop and hope. It works right up until the laptop dies, gets stolen out of the ute, or the person who set it up leaves. Doing it properly the first time costs an afternoon and saves the week you would otherwise lose.
The problem
Signed in with a personal email means the business files are legally and practically tied to an individual.
No sync and no backup, so the hard drive is a single point of failure for the whole business.
Trial antivirus and manufacturer bloatware slowing a brand-new machine to a crawl.
The same password on the bank, the supplier portal and the email, written on a note under the keyboard.
What you get
Trial software and bloatware removed, Windows or macOS updated, disk encryption switched on.
Signed in with your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account so the business owns the data.
Outlook or Mail configured, signature set, calendar synced with your phone.
OneDrive, Drive or Dropbox connected with Desktop and Documents backed up automatically.
Built-in antivirus configured properly, automatic updates on, a screen lock, and a password manager set up.
While we are there, the printer and the network get done too.
How it works
Make, model and operating system, plus which email platform you are on.
Most of it is done over a remote session while you get on with a job. Melbourne customers can have us on site instead.
Sync configured, existing files brought across, printer and Wi-Fi connected and tested.
Twenty minutes showing you where things live and what to do if the machine dies tomorrow.

FAQ
No. We will happily tell you what to buy for the work you do, but you purchase it yourself so the warranty and the receipt are in your name.
Almost all of it, yes, over a remote session. We are Melbourne-based, so if you are in the south-east or the northern suburbs we can come to you instead.
Yes. Files, email, bookmarks and printer settings come across as part of the setup. Have the old machine to hand and powered on.
Same service. Most of the work is the same either way — accounts, sync, backup and security do not care which side of the fence you sit on.
Setup is included with your plan. If you need us on site in Melbourne, or you are migrating several machines at once, we will quote that upfront before any work starts.
Computer & Laptop Setup is included from the Starter plan. Tell us about your business and we will come back within one business day.
